::summative assessment:: In order to complete your VTS successfully and get your certificate to practice as a GP in the UK, you must complete summative assessment. This is a test of reaching a minimum level of competency to practice independently. There are four components to summative assessment: The written exam (MCQ/EMQ/SBA) (exemption if you pass MRCGP MCQ) The audit (or a project under the National Project Marking Schedule) The video (exemption if you pass the MRCGP video) The structured trainers report. There is no charge for sitting any of these components. We will add more info on each of these shortly. You can find out more from the National Office for Summative Assessment website (opens in a new window). |
